Ottumwa -- Three first-half goals and a strong effort from goalkeeper Colton Mihalovich pushed Indian Hills past visiting Scott CC, 3-1, in ICCAC soccer action Saturday at the IHCC field.
Mihalovich stopped six shots while allowing only a first-half goal by Scott's Ceye Beh as Indian Hills picked up its third win of the fall.
Jonathan Silva started the scoring in the 22nd minute when he tallied off an assist by Sam Puchella. Puchella netted an unassisted goal just seven minutes later to double the lead.
After Scott's Beh cut the deficit in half, Indian Hills' Jeremy Stufflebeem scored an insurance goal right before halftime.
Neither team was able to score in the second half as the defenses took over and Mihalovich and Hector Varela of Scott kept the other team off the scoreboard.
Iowa Lakes will be the opponent as the Warriors close out their home schedule on Tuesday at 2:00. Indian Hills dropped a 4-0 decision to the Lakers last month in Spencer.
