Ottumwa, IA – Former Indian Hills Men's Basketball standout Curtis Jones has inked a deal with the Denver Nuggets as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NBA Draft. Jones starred at Indian Hills during the 2020-21 season.
Jones joins a Denver team that went 53-20 last season, advancing to the Western Conference Semifinals and captured the 2023 NBA Championship.
The Minneapolis, MN native put together a decorated collegiate career that began in Ottumwa. During his lone season with the Warriors, Jones started all 24 contests while averaging 21.1 points per game to go along with 6.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. Following his time at Indian Hills, Jones joined the University of Buffalo for two seasons before eventually transferring to Iowa State University.
Jones spent the past two seasons with the Cyclones where he emerged as one of the premiere players in the nation. The 6-foot-4 guard was named to the prestigious Jerry West Award top-10 list while leading Iowa State to a 25-10 overall record and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Jones averaged 17.4 points per game this season while shooting 43.0 percent from the floor.
Jones becomes the second Indian Hills alum over the past three seasons to join the Denver Nuggets program. Former standout Drake Jeffries competed in the team's NBA Summer League in 2022.
Jones joins a lengthy list of Warrior alums to join the professional ranks. Currently, more than 30 former Warriors are competing across the globe at the professional level.
