Charlotte, NC – Former Indian Hills Men's Basketball standout Marcus Relphorde has been selected as one of just 12 former junior college student-athletes/coaches to participate in the 2024 NBA Future Basketball Operations Stars Program (FBOS), announced Thursday afternoon by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
Relphorde was selected from more than 300 applicants to take part in the FBOS program which is in its third year of operation. Relphorde is one of 12 former and current NJCAA student-athletes and coaches who will participate in the professional development experience.
The 2024-25 Future Basketball Operations Stars Program is a six-month virtual training program delivering targeted basketball operations and professional development content on topics including scouting, roster construction, on-and-off-court player development, analytics, and the NBA Salary Cap. Upon the completion of the virtual programming, top FBOS participants will be selected for short-term in-person career development opportunities with the League office.
Relphorde served as a key member of the 2008-09 Indian Hills Men's Basketball team that posted a 30-3 overall record and ranked in the top-five in the nation throughout the year. Relphorde was selected to the 2009 NJCAA All-Region 11 Honorable Mention team in his lone season with the Warriors after averaging 10.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
Following his time at Indian Hills, Relphorde moved on to the University of Colorado where he started all 68 games of his career with the Buffaloes. Relphorde finished his career at Colorado where he currently ranks 10th all-time in three-point percentage.
Relphorde has spent the past 13 years in the professional ranks that has included stops in the NBA G League, Sweden, Lithuania, Greece, Argentina, Israel, and his most recent home in France with Poitiers Basket 86 of the Ligue Nationale de Basket. Relphorde has appeared in more than 400 career professional games while scoring more than 6,000 points around the globe.
