Indian Hills will welcome one of the top teams in the NJCAA this season as Cloud County makes the 328-mile trek to Centerville.
- The Warriors are coming off a key win over Southeastern Community College, the No. 3 ranked team in the nation in the NJCAA DII ratings.
- Against the Blackhawks, sophomore Callum Donnelly became just the fifth player in the last 10 seasons to record five hits in a single game.
- Freshman Gage Perri has continued to surge at the plate for the Warriors and is currently riding a 10-game hitting streak with 14 RBI during the stretch.
- Sophomore Yuan-Kai Chang recently surpassed 100-career strikeouts during his two-year career at Indian Hills.
- The Warriors will be facing its highest ranked opponent in the national polls since defeating No. 1 ranked Wabash Valley in 2021 to advance to the JUCO World Series.
- Indian Hills is 11-11 vs. nationally ranked non-league opponents dating back to the 2021 season and have secured 20 wins in total over ranked foes during the same stretch.
- Dating back to the 2011 season, Indian Hills has faced eight opponents from the KJCCC.
SCOUTING THE T-BIRDS
One of the premiere programs in the nation this year, Cloud County has soared to a 39-4 overall record and a No. 5 rank in the latest NJCAA DI Baseball National Poll.
- Cloud County enters Saturday's affair having won seven games in a row, and 11 of its last 12.
- The T-Birds are 20-2 away from its home turf this season, including 16-2 in true road matchups.
- 10 different players are hitting above .333 on the year with at least 50 plate appearances.
- Simon Baker paces the offense with a .431 batting average, 17 home runs, and 53 RBI.
- The trio of Ian Razak, Cole Linton, and Stocton Timbrook have combined for a 19-0 record on the mound with 147 strikeouts.
- Cloud County is 5-0 against common opponents with the Warriors this year (4-0 vs. Marshalltown, 1-0 vs. Cowley).
- The T-Birds were predicted to win the KJCCC West Division in the preseason coaches poll after a record-breaking year in 2025.
- Indian Hills and Cloud County are matching up for the first time in program history.
- Cloud County is under the direction of 10th year head coach Eric Gilliland.
CELEBRATING PDF
Saturday's series also serves as a ceremonial weekend for the Warriors as Indian Hills will host an official ribbon-cutting for the newly renovated Pat Daugherty Field. Named after Indian Hills and NJCAA Hall of Fame head coach Pat Daugherty, the facility recently underwent major upgrades and will be on full display this weekend. Indian Hills alumni will be on-site and take part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony inbetween games of Saturday's twinbill.
