WARRIORS REMAIN IN NATIONAL RANKINGS

Centerville, IA – The Indian Hills Baseball team continues to receive votes in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Baseball Poll. The Warriors are currently 21-7 overall and 11-2 in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC).

Indian Hills posted a 4-2 record last week with all six contests counting towards the team's conference record. The Warriors split a doubleheader at home with North Iowa Area Community College on Monday before defeating Southeastern Community College 8-7 at Pat Daugherty Field on Wednesday. Head coach Matthew Torrez's club wrapped up the week with a 2-1 series win over Ellsworth Community College, including an 11-7 victory on Sunday.

The Warriors currently sit in second place in the conference standings behind first-place Iowa Western Community College. The Reivers check in at No. 8 in this week's national poll with a 26-6 overall record and 12-1 in league play.

The two teams will square off for a pivotal conference doubleheader Wednesday night in Council Bluffs, IA. First pitch has been pushed pack to a 5:00 PM start at Doc Ross Field and can be seen via the Reiver Sports Network.

The Warriors return home for a three-game conference series with Kirkwood Community College this weekend. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday with first pitch set for 1:00 PM.

Saturday's contest, set for a 1:00 PM start, will be a part of Parents Weekend at Pat Daugherty Field where fans can partake in a pre-game cookout, purchase Warrior merchandise, and honor the Warrior sophomore class.
