Fort Dodge, Iowa -- In similar fashion to the way they won on Sunday at Southwestern, Indian Hills staged a last-inning rally to complete a comeback 10-6 win over Iowa Central on Tuesday. The Falcons, who trailed 5-1 after two innings against the Tritons, got even at 6-all in the 7th, then broke that tie with four runs in the 9th to win their 26th game of the spring.
On the same day he was named an Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his play last week, Jacob Rhinesmith homered twice and knocked in three runs. Lane Harvey contributed a two-run homer to the Falcons' come-from-behind effort.
Indian Hills can thank its bullpen for the ability to pull out the win. The trio of Brett Stenger, Ray Nolan and Caleb Miley combined for five innings of no-hit, no-run baseball, permitting only two baserunners. Stenger and Miley each pitched two innings and Nolan threw the 7th.
Will Zimmerman was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBIs for the Falcons and Hunter Capps had a pair of hits.
IHCC (26-11) will play another non-conference contest on Wednesday, at home against Ellsworth.
