Centerville -- Playing their 19th game of the spring, and their first at Pat Daugherty Field, Indian Hills took a non-conference decision from Iowa Central on Tuesday, downing the Tritons 11-4 in the home opener. It was the 11th game in which IHCC scored in double figures and their 13th win against 6 losses.

The scored was tied at 3-3 after IHCC's Zachary Fascia and Ryan Humeniuk provided RBI hits in the bottom of the 2nd. The Falcons went ahead for good on run-scoring hits by Enrique Veras and Humeniuk two innings later.

Humeniuk led Indian Hills' 14-hit attack with four hits and Fascia collected three. Each drove in two runs. Six of IHCC's hits were doubles. Will Zimmerman scored three times.

The Falcons employed five pitchers -- Zachary Lauzon, Caleb Miley, Yasiel Valdez, Ray Nolan and Fasica -- with Fascia striking out the side in the 9th inning.
