Baseball Players Earn NJCAA Academic Honors

Centerville -- Eleven members of the 2015-16 Indian Hills baseball team have been recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association for their work in the classroom. The players who received the NJCAA's highest academic honors were cited in one of three categories: Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence, for those with a 4.00 grade point average; Superior Academic Achievement Award, for those with a GPA of 3.80 to 3.99; and Exemplary Academic Achievement Award, for those with GPAs from 3.60 and 3.79.

The IHCC baseball award-winners are:

Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence (4.00 GPA) -- Matt Johnson, Noah Renaud, Wyatt Aaberg

Superior Academic Achievement Award (3.80 - 3.99 GPA) -- Dillon Nelson, Jacob Thiessen, Michael Starcevich

Exemplary Academic Achievement Award (3.60 - 3.79 GPA) -- Colin Cicere, K.C. Siwa, Matthew Krutsch, Roberto Negron, Wyatt Olson

The 11 baseball players were among 27 Indian Hills student-athletes receiving the NJCAA academic awards.
