Centerville -- Veteran Indian Hills baseball coach Cam Walker picked up his 900th career victory on Sunday night when the Falcons finished off a sweep of a conference doubleheader, beating Muscatine CC, 10-0 in six innings. The Falcons had taken the opener of the twinbill, 5-1.
When you factor in the four years Walker spent as an IHCC assistant coach and the two years he pitched for Indian Hills, he's been involved in well over a thousand victories with the Falcons. He is currently is his 24th season as head coach.
Walker's career record, after the two games Sunday, is 900-478, a winning percentage of .653.
Indian Hills wraps up the series with Muscatine with a pair of games on Monday. Game one starts at 1:00 at Pat Daugherty Field.
