Falcons Drop Home Contest to SCC

Centerville -- Southeastern scored its runs in bunches and cut short an Indian Hills rally in the bottom of the 9th to get an 11-7 win over the Falcons on Tuesday.

The visitors put up four runs in the 1st, then scored two in the 5th and 7th innings and three in the 9th. IHCC pushed across three runs of its own in the final inning.

Olivier Basabe had a good offensive game for the Falcons, going 3-for-5 with a single, double and home run, driving in two runs and scoring twice.

Wyatt Aaberg, Noah Renaud, Wyatt Olson and Jose Vargas all had two-hit games for Indian Hills. Olson homered and knocked in two runs. Jacob Rhinesmith doubled and scored two and Aaberg collected two RBIs.

The Falcons used three pitchers -- Jacob Thiessen, Matt Lasley and KC Siwa -- with Thiessen taking the loss.

Indian Hills is right back in action on Wednesday, traveling to Southwestern CC for a nine-inning game.
