Trenton, Missouri -- Indian Hills rapped out 13 hits and used a pair of big innings to defeat North Central Missouri 14-4 on Thursday. IHCC poured across eight runs in the 3rd inning and topped off their performance with a 5-run 7th in winning their 4th consecutive game.
Jacob Rhinesmith and Olivier Basabe led the offensive attack for the Falcons, each getting three hits. Rhinesmith tripled and singled twice and Basabe had a single, double and home run. Dillon Nelson also homered.
Bryce Collins went the first five innings on the mound for IHCC and picked up the win. He allowed nine hits and four earned runs while striking out eight. Michael Starcevich threw two hitless innings of relief with two Ks.
Four players -- Rhinesmith, Wyatt Olson, Nelson and Basabe -- all scored two runs and leadoff man Ryan Shull had two hits. A couple of Falcons, Luis Giminez and Wyatt Aaberg, each had three RBIs on only one hit. Aaberg lifted two sacrifice flies.
Indian Hills will play a pair of games this weekend against Southeastern CC, on Friday at home and Sunday in West Burlington.
