Centerville -- Freshman pitcher Bryce Collins has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Division I Pitcher of the Week. Collins, from Brisbane, Australia, worked ten innings over two games the week of Apr. 27, giving up only eight hits and two earned runs. He didn't issue a walk and struck out 11.

For the season, the right-hander has a 2-4 record and a 4.76 ERA. He has struck out 37 in 45 1/3 innings.

The IHCC Falcons will play in the Region 11 postseason tournament this weekend in Muscatine. They will take on Marshalltown in the opening round of the double-elimination tourney at 2:00 on Friday afternoon.
