Centerville -- Indian Hills sophomore 1st baseman Mitch Langer was named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference "Batter of the Week" for the period Mar. 23-29.
Langer, from Fountain, Colorado, was given the weekly award after going 7-for-17,driving in eight runs and scoring two in the Falcons' split with Iowa Western over the weekend. Langer had a .471 on-base percentage for the week, a .529 slugging percentage and hit .714 with runners in scoring position.
Langer is the fourth IHCC player to garner conference weekly honors this spring.
Sophomore Kyle Keck was the Batter of the Week and freshman Trevor Kiminski the Pitcher of the Week in early February after Keck batted over .500 and scored five runs and Kiminski got the pitching victory in his collegiate debut, striking out five.
Sophomore Travis Neubeck was the Co-Pitcher of the Week in March when he fanned seven in 7 2/3 innings while posting a win over Ridgewater (Minn.).
