Centerville -- Indian Hills plated five runs in the first inning and that started the Falcons on their way to an 11-2 win over Ridgewater (Minn.) and a sweep of the visitors. Saturday's game was the first of the season for IHCC on their home diamond as lots of hard work resulted in Pat Daugherty Field being ready for the season-opener.

Kyle Keck led the offense for the Falcons, reaching base four times and scoring every time he was on board. Mitch Langer, Jake Lewis and Justin Chalupa all had RBI hits in the big first inning for IHCC. Chalupa drove in two runs with a double.

Enrique Basabe had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored for IHCC. Langer and Chalupa both had three RBIs.

Indian Hills outscored Ridgewater 45-5 in the four-game series.

The Falcons will have a busy weekend coming up, taking on Marshalltown CC at 1:00 Friday afternoon and then playing two Minnesota schools, St. Cloud Tech and Hibbing CC, four times on Saturday and Sunday.
