Fort Dodge -- Coming off a weekend series in which they scored 27 runs in four games against Iowa Western, Indian Hills' offense was held in check on Tuesday, the Falcons managing only three hits in a 7-1 loss to Iowa Central.

IHCC opened the scoring with a run in the 1st. Caleb Ratzman was hit by a pitch and came home on Junior Santos' double. The Falcons managed only two more hits after that -- singles by Mitch Langer and Edgar Lebron.

The nine-inning contest was tight with IC leading 2-1 going into the bottom of the 7th. The Tritons scored three runs in the 7th and 2 in the 8th.

Reliever Joelfi Arias, one of four hurlers used by IHCC, took the loss for the Falcons, who committed four errors.

Indian Hills returns to action on Wednesday, taking on Southeastern at Pat Daugherty Field in Centerville.
