Ottumwa, IA – The Indian Hills Athletic Department boasted an 11th place finish in the national 2025-26 Ron Case Cup standings, announced by the National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA).
For the fourth consecutive year, the Warriors cracked the top-15 of the national standings which seeks to recognize the top National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) programs across the country based on competitive excellence throughout the academic year. Indian Hills garnered a total of 101.0 total team points, third-most in a single season in school history.
The standings are comprised of teams throughout the NJCAA who classify within the scholarship ranks. Teams are awarded points based off team finishes at national competitions and championships. Teams that win the national title in their respective sport are awarded 20 points, while runner-up finishes earn 19 points, third-place finishes receive 18 points, etc. Each school is eligible to use their top five finishes per gender at their highest level of competition.
The Warriors saw another unprecedented year of athletic success, culminating in numerous multiple team and individual national championships. The Indian Hills Men's Soccer squad made history by capturing the program's first-ever national title in November while the men's and women's wrestling squads continued a remarkable run on the mat. The women's squad captured its fourth consecutive NJCAA championship while the men made history by securing their second consecutive team national title.
The men's golf squad boasted a national runner-up finish at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in May while the women's volleyball squad made its fourth consecutive appearance at the NJCAA DI Volleyball National Championship. The men's basketball squad made another run to 'Hutch', its fifth consecutive trip to the NJCAA DI Men's Basketball National Championship in Hutchinson, KS. The women's golf squad continued to surge, boasting a program-best 12th place finish in Coal Valley, IL.
The Warrior running squads elevated the department's standings in the Ron Case Cup with standout performances across the board at the respective national championships. The men's outdoor track & field program earned a fourth-place finish while the women's side earned top-20 finishes at both the indoor and outdoor championships. The women's cross country team secured a 17th-place finish back in November.
In total, among qualifying NJCAA sports, the Warriors totaled three team national championships, seven individual national champions while 13 separate programs qualified for respective national tournaments.
The NATYCAA Cup Standings were created in 2004 and have recognized teams each year with the exception of the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons due to COVID-19. The NATYCAA Cup Standings host divisions for the NJCAA Scholarship, NJCAA Non-Scholarship, and the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A).
